This quarantine is hitting most of us pretty hard. We're all going through it in our own ways — coping with loss of routine, loneliness, irritation with our partners, financial uncertainty, grief.
Under times of stress like this, you may be frustrated to find that you're not your best self. Healthy goals and habits can be hard to hang onto, and any pre-existing mental health issues can start to feel a lot worse.
There are two ways this can shake out. When life returns to normal, you may find yourself back to fighting that same uphill battle — more frustrated, unhealthy, and stressed out than ever. Or, maybe, you'll impress yourself. Your friends and family will recall fondly the way you were able to love and support them (and yourself) when the chips were down.
At Psych Lab, we're passionate about using holistic and scientific approaches to help people feel better and improve their lives. We're able to help with nearly all kinds of internal challenges through secure online counseling sessions:
We're not some huge tech firm with "gig" therapists texting canned responses to hundreds of clients for 20 bucks an hour. We're not an insurance mill pushing time-limited solutions to problems that deserve thoughtful care. We're a small, dedicated team of highly qualified therapists committed to providing the most effective, private therapy for our community.

Research consistently shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person psychotherapy. There are several factors that do affect therapy outcome — and this is where we want to invest our attention:
We use a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant videoconference platform to connect you directly with your therapist. When it's time for your appointment, you simply click a link and connect from any browser (no extra software needed.) We're able to help anyone currently residing within the state of California.
Just like in-person psychotherapy, sessions last about 50 minutes and focus on the issues most important to your well-being. We also offer online marriage counseling, online couples counseling, and online family therapy.
The cost of online therapy is the same as for in-person sessions, and is based on the education level of the therapist. Currently, the cost of a 50-minute session ranges from $150 to $250.
We do not accept private insurance, but we're happy to help you submit claims for reimbursement. We do accept Medicare, Tricare, and VA Community-Care Choice program.
By working outside of the insurance system, we're able to focus on providing high availability and premium quality services for our clients.
