"I'll accept you where you're at, and give you honest feedback to help you grow."
Starting out in therapy can be really intimidating! On top of the anxiety around facing issues you've been avoiding, there's also stigma about whether there may be something wrong with you. The truth is we all go through our own struggles, and I'm here to help you feel comfortable, to give you a sense of being understood, and to inspire hope that your life can be better.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker, initially trained in case management, diversity, and social justice. I received my Master’s in Social Work from USC, and landed working primarily with adolescents and families struggling with mental health issues. I have significant experience providing intensive therapy in a residential treatment center, focusing on crisis stabilization, trauma, as well as bringing families back to cohesiveness and communicating better.
Through this process, I found myself gaining passion for at-risk youth, as well as families in crisis and those struggling to keep themselves safe. I decided to go back to school for my doctorate to be able to be a better therapist for my patients and to learn additional therapeutic techniques to be the best source of support possible.
In addition to my diverse background training, I have skill in working with military families and a drive to help those who struggle with asking for help. I truly enjoy changing people's idea of what typical therapy might look like by bringing humor and comfort into each session. I'll collaborate with you to bring stability back to your life, and help you regain passion for yourself, your life, and your potential.
