Therapists who take Aetna
Psych Lab is in-network with Aetna! We accept all PPO and HMO plans through Aetna and provide therapy that helps you manage stress, relationships, and personal growth. Whether you're balancing work and family life or overcoming personal challenges, we're here to support your mental well-being.
The only type of Aetna plan we are not able to accept is Aetna Medicare Advantage HMO, which uses a separate network of providers.
What we do
At Psych Lab, we dive deeper to help you heal from the roots, not just the surface. Our attachment-based therapy model is scientifically proven to provide the strongest and most lasting results. To learn more, read: How therapy works at Psych Lab.
Frequency and duration of therapy
Since therapy has been shown to be most effective when scheduled at least once per week, we are only able to accept patients ready to commit to weekly meetings. While the length of therapy varies widely depending on your personality, needs, goals, and personal history, most people accomplish their goals and report lasting change after 10-18 months of continuous therapy.
Out-of-pocket costs
Out-of-pocket costs vary based on your Aetna plan. Some plans have copays, while others may require cost-sharing. Please check with Aetna to confirm your specific coverage and costs.
Some Aetna plans have an annual deductible—an amount you must pay out-of-pocket before your insurance starts covering services. This applies across all outpatient services, meaning if you've already met your deductible for other medical visits, it may not apply again for therapy. Depending on your plan, your deductible may reset either at the beginning or in the middle of the calendar year.
Cancellation policy
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or do not attend, you will be responsible for the full cost of the session. Insurance does not cover the cost of missed appointments.
